Police: Wanted man found hiding in closet of Petersburg home

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

U.S. Marshals, assisting the Hanover County Sheriff's Office, found a man wanted in an armed robbery hiding in the closet of a Petersburg home.

Donald Bailey, 32, is accused of robbing the Shell gas station at 10114 Lewistown Road around 9 p.m. on December 21. He is also wanted by Henrico Police for failing to appear in court.

Bailey is being held without bond and will appear in Hanover General District Court on January 13.

    Woman hit and killed by van in Richmond

    A woman has died, after police say she was struck by a van in Richmond. Police say the woman was walking across the 1100 block of Azalea Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday, when she was struck by a van turning left off Seminary Avenue. The driver of that van stayed on the scene. Police say the woman was already dead when they got to the scene. The driver is not facing charges at this time. The investigation continues, as police work to notify the victim's family.
