HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico police have arrested two teens in connection with an attack on a homeless man at a Broad Street McDonald's restaurant.

Rashaan Bates and a 17-year-old boy have been charged with assault by mob in the December 28 attack. The men turned themselves in and were charged Monday. Police released surveillance photos on New Year's Eve in an effort to track down the suspects.

The homeless man was inside the McDonald's on West Broad Street near Glenside Avenue when the two teens slapped him in the face, police said. Initially, officers said there were similarities to the "knockout game," but investigators are now saying this is just a random attack. The suspects ran into the parking lot and drove off in a waiting car.

The 40-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries to his face and is expected to be okay.
