2014 General Assembly Session begins Wednesday

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -
The Virginia General Assembly is scheduled to begin their 60-day session Wednesday.
 
The Senate and the House of Delegates Session is scheduled to get underway starting at 12 p.m. A $95 billion budget plan has been proposed by outgoing Gov. Bob McDonnell (R). Several other issues on the docket are set to include mental health and ethics reform throughout Virginia.
 
Lame duck Gov. McDonnell, who has come under controversy following his alleged involvement with Glen Allen company Star Scientific, is scheduled to deliver his final State of the Commonwealth address starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The speech will be streamed live on NBC12.con and on NBC 12's News App.
