Taser used on Nashville shoplifting suspect

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say an officer used his Taser while trying to arrest a shoplifting suspect in Nashville on Friday.

According to the affidavit, Dallas Raybon was seen shoplifting at the Exxon Tiger Mart at 1101 Broadway.

Police say he hid a bottle of beer in his jacket and tried to leave the store.

Store employees were able to stop Raybon from leaving.

The arresting officer says Raybon resisted being searched and ran across the parking lot. He was eventually taken into custody on the sidewalk.

Raybon's bond has been set at $9,000.
