Van crashes into Fort Lee Popeyes

FORT LEE, VA (WWBT) -

A government van was put into drive by accident and crashed into the entrance of the Popeyes Chicken on Fort Lee.

It happened right after 10 a.m. The store was not open at the time, but there was a manager inside the store. He was in the back of the store and was not hurt.

The driver of the van was not hurt either.

The Director of Public Works is investigating the crash and assessing the damage so they can get it fixed.
