Power officials say at least 4,000 customers were in the dark after a power line failure Wednesday night in Chesterfield.
As of 2 a.m., nearly all power was restored to the area by Dominion Power crews.
Officials say the outage was caused by a failed power line connector. Live power lines fell to the ground. That live wire energized Verizon fiber optic lines, causing fires.
