Thousands of customers without power across Central Virginia

Around 16,000 people are waking up in the dark this morning after a winter weather storm hit Central Virginia Sunday night, according to Virginia Dominon Power.

According to Virginia Dominon Power:

7800 Customers: City of Richmond

5100 Customer: Goochland

1940: Hanover County

976: Chesterfield

850: Henrico County

 

 Rain, sleet, and ice brought down trees and power lines.

Louisa County was the hardest hit, where schools are closed today and roads are hazardous. Chrystina Head is reporting live from Louisa.

Tracy Lynn reports that trees are down across roads in Henrico's West End, Goochland, and Chesterfield.
