Witness: Car crashes into Richmond restaurant, strikes woman

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Police are investigating after a car crashes through the front window of a Richmond restaurant on West Broad Street.

According to a witness, it happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Aladdin Express Restaurant. The manager said a woman inside the building was struck and thrown about four feet.

According to the sister of the victim, she was taken to VCU Medical Center in serious but non life-threatening condition. The victim's friend was also injured in the crash when broken glass struck her. She was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
