I love this time of year because it reminds us that it is a good time to remember to give thanks and a good time for giving. Between now and the end of the year many of you will be busy celebrating the holidays and wrapping up some of those unfulfilled resolutions from New Year's Day…remember those.
I want to say thank you to all of Central Virginia for all that you give every day to help someone in need. Your thousands of considerate volunteer hours are what bring joy to those that might not otherwise have joy in their lives. And most of all, it gives them hope.
Thank you for staying socially and politically aware so that we can always ensure that Richmond will be all that it can be. And because you are watching, thank you for being a loyal viewer of NBC12.
Today, I want to also be thankful for the life of legendary radio host Mitch Malone. Mitch was a Petersburg native and a proud graduate of Virginia State University. He is best known for his late night show "The Quiet Storm" on Radio One's Kiss FM.
Mitch Malone gone too soon.
