Rape suspect in court

Good morning from Gray. Here's a look at some of the stories you will want to catch before you leave the house on 12 News Today.

Developing: A kitchen fire in Henrico leaves a family homeless. It happened at home on Moss Side Drive. One adult and six kids have been displaced. The Red Cross is helping that family.

Happening today, a man charged with rape in Henrico is back in court.  Driton Suljemani was indicted on sodomy and rape charges for the July attack of a 24 year old woman near a shopping center in Glen Allen.

Also happening today, a landmark re-opens in Hopewell after being vacant for more than  20 years. Our cameras will be there later today for a look at the Beacon Theater. It was the focus of a massive renovation project.

In just a few hours, the Dinwiddie mother and daughter accused of killing a newborn baby after leaving her in a toilet will be in court.  Both Angela and Devin Small face several charges, including first degree murder. The newborn girl belonged to the 22-year old, Devin Small.
