HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -
In this week's Neighborhood Health Watch we explore an ailment that affects many people of varying ages.
In Innsbrook, Dr. Edwin Robinson is treating asthma.
It is common to see adults with an onset of asthma that is new. Symptoms include the usual wheezing and/or cough but also may manifest as shortness of breath, chest tightness and burning in the chest.
You can prevent the symptoms by avoiding allergens and irritants and taking prescribed medication.
Use of a bronchodilator like albuteral may be that is needed. If it is not enough your doctor can provide more options.
