APPOMATTOX, VA (WWBT) -
In this week's Neighborhood Healthwatch we discuss a health issue that plagues many individuals.
In the tri-cities, Dr. John Clay is treating constipation.
Symptoms may include development of pain with bowel movements, hemorrhoids, or rectal bleeding.
Be sure to have adequate fluids, daily fiber intake (25 grams) and physical exercise. You can also try over-the counter stool softeners, laxatives and suppositories.
Discuss with your physician if certain medications you take can cause the problem.
