Hanover Supervisors to vote on Mechanicsville theater plan

Posted: Updated:
MECHANICSVILLE, VA (WWBT) -

Hanover Supervisors will reportedly vote on a proposal to build the county's first movie theater in Mechanicsville on November 13.

Developers want to build the 12-screen complex near the Hanover Village Shopping Center.

Dozens of residents, especially from the Brandy Creek and Travellers Run neighborhoods are  upset that a new theater could bring more crime and traffic to the area.

Supervisors delayed a previous vote until a traffic study impact could be done, according to the Mechanicsville Local.
