CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

A former athletic trainer accused of having a sexual relationship with a Monacan High School student will go on trial in December.

Kristin Beck appeared in a Chesterfield courtroom Wednesday. A judge set her trial date for December 19. The 30-year-old is facing a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to court documents, she had consensual sex with a 15-year-old player on the football team at a home.

Officers say they've only heard of one teen involved, but are looking to see if there are other alleged victims.

Beck worked as an independent contractor employed through Chippenham and Johnston Willis Hospitals, Inc. She helped train the football team and was not employed by Chesterfield County Public Schools.

According to the school spokesperson the contract with Chippenham and Johnston Willis Hospitals, which is part of HCA Virginia, says the school will receive medical support services. It also requires the medical facility do a background check on all of its employees working at the schools. That background check includes looking for felony convictions or any offense involving sexual molestation, physical or sexual abuse or rape of a child.

HCA Virginia released this statement saying, "We were disappointed to learn about the serious allegations against this former employee. We conduct background checks on employees as part of our hiring processes, and we do not tolerate behavior that could compromise the well-being of the people entrusted to our care. "
