City audit raises questions with Richmond Public Schools funding

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A scathing report by Richmond's City Auditor calls into question how Richmond Public Schools handles its finances.

The report questions how the school system uses contract employees to fill important roles, and questions why the school district is unable to give an exact count of its employees.

The school board is reviewing the findings Monday evening. NBC12 is at the meeting and will update with reaction on 12News at 11.
