PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) -

Family and friends gathered to remember a Chester father who died when he hit a logging truck that flipped over Wednesday.

The logging truck flipped, spilling logs all over Route 288. Two cars hit the truck.

27-year-old Morris Cushionberry of Chester died in the crash.

Family and friends gathered Sunday night in Petersburg to pay tribute to Cushionberry.

"It was just so unreal, it still seems unreal today, very devastating news," says Gayle Nicholas, one of Cushionberry's friends.

Cushionberry leaves behind a wife and two young daughters.

The vigil was held at Another Level Salon where he worked as a barber while attending VSU.
