Acute non-viral hepatitis reports in Hawaii

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - It is a problem that was discovered in Hawaii but it could be anywhere. We have the details and what to look for in this week's Neighborhood Health Watch.

The warning comes from Dr. Marc Caligtan at the Virginia Spine Center. It comes from the use of a dietary supplement known as oxyelitepro its connected to cases of hepatitis.

The oxyelitepro is tied to 24 cases of the disease all in Hawaii.

However the oxyelietepro is distributed by a Texas company and sold nationwide.

The FDA recommends stopping the use of oxyelitepro.
