Richmond sheriff deputy sentenced for DUI that killed his sisters

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A former Richmond's sheriff deputy will spend less than two years in jail for a deadly DUI crash that killed three of his sisters.

Jerry Middleton, 53, pleaded guilty to three counts of manslaughter, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch,

Police say he was driving with his sisters on Route 60, when he ran off the road and hit a tree. Middleton has been previously convicted on a separate DUI charge.

As part of his plea agreement, Middleton received a sentence of 23 months behind bars.
