Virginia State Police continue to investigate several accidents this morning and one of them involving serious injuries. Plus, there is a desperate search to find a missing plane. State Police say the Cessna was supposed to touch down at a Hampton Roads airport around 4:15 yesterday, arriving from Florida.
Also, The White House says President Barack Obama would "likely sign" a short-term extension of the debt ceiling, even if it left the partial government shutdown intact. House Speaker John Boehner is talking to his rank and file about leaving the shutdown in place while raising the debt limit and setting up negotiations with the president over spending cuts and other issues.
