A traveling memorial that honors the men and women killed by the global war on terror has made a stop in Nashville.
The wall is engraved with more than 11,000 names, and spans the conflicts from Desert Shield and Desert Storm to 9/11 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The memorial was escorted to downtown Nashville by a group of Patriot Guard riders.
A ceremony at the wall, which is placed near the Cumberland River at the end of Lower Broadway, included a wreath-laying and candlelight vigil Thursday evening.
The wall will be on display at Riverfront Park until Sunday.
