(RNN) - TLC has released their first song as a duo, more than 10 years after the death of member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.

Meant To Be, the band's first single in 10 years, pays homage to the group's friendship, a sisterhood bound by love as much as it is music.

Left Eye's presence is felt throughout, with lyrics like "From the moment we met, meant to be through the sorrow, through the stress/Meant to be, through life and through death/Hey, we built a love that nothing can test."

The song, sung by surviving members "T-Boz" Watkins and "Chilli" Thomas, is classic TLC, reminiscent of their earlier hits, giving fans a familiar sound to tie their past to their musical future.

Meant To Be will appear on their upcoming greatest hits album, 20, out Oct. 15, marking the band's 20 years in music.

Lopes died in a car crash in Honduras in 2002.

We are issuing an official Kleenex alert for this one.

Ingrid Michaelson releases 'Army of 3,' an album of covers

Ingrid Michaelson has proven that regardless of her stardom, she isn't above a few good covers in her newest project called Army of 3.

As a side project last year, Michaelson recorded covers of Rihanna's We Found Love and Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know. She's currently working on a new album, but when the release date got pushed back, she decided to make the Army of 3 covers available to fans who wanted to buy them ... along with two bonus songs.

She added Maroon 5's Love Somebody and Bruno Mars' When I Was Your Man and made the entire thing available on iTunes for $5 ... or $4.99 if you want to be exact.

We love her original songs, but have to admit she can do some killer covers.

You can hear them all on her YouTube channel.

New music from The Head and the Heart

Folk-rock band The Head and the Heart received national attention with their self-titled debut in 2011. Their second album, Let's Be Still, isn't out for another week but fortunately for fans, SubPop is currently streaming the album on SoundCloud.

The Head and the Heart described their first album as "shamelessly happy." However, while making Let's Be Still, the band drew inspiration from other bands they have opened for in the past, including My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie and Iron and Wine.

What resulted was a complex album that exhibited growth as a band, while staying true to the overall harmony that got fans hooked in the first place.

"This is the first time that we produced as a full band ... this one is everyone's influences equally present and prevalent throughout the album. I think that comes from being better musicians, more comfortable with each other from two-plus years of touring on the road," front man Josiah Johnson told Rolling Stone.

Whether it's through the classic rock sound of Homecoming Heroes, catchy instrumentals of Summertime or chill sounds of title track Let's Be Still, the album won't grow old quickly.

Let's Be Still drops on Oct. 15. In the meantime, you can stream it at

Lauryn Hill leaves prison, drops single and now ... touring?

Lauryn Hill's prison sentence didn't keep the former Fugees star down for long.

On the eve of her release from prison, after serving a three-month sentence for tax evasion, she released the politically-charged and word-crammed single Consumerism.

Now, according to the Associated Press, a judge has granted her request to go on tour the last six weeks of the year, despite her sentence including three months of house arrest. She is to resume her house arrest on Jan. 1.

Prison or no prison, Lauryn Hill has proved that her new music will be heard no matter what.
