Employee arrested after allegedly stealing beer from company

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police took a Det Distributing Company employee into custody overnight.

The Nashville company distributes beverages, including beer. Metro Police say employee Quincy Philip stole $700 worth of beer from the company.

Police arrested Philip overnight after reviewing a surveillance tape that allegedly showed him loading the brew into a car.

He has been charged with theft, and police said he admitted to the crime.
