Henrico considers alcohol ban at events

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Henrico supervisors will consider an alcohol ban that could have a major impact on families and groups who use the county's more affordable recreation centers for events likes weddings.

Right now, residents need a special permit and an ABC license if anyone chooses to have alcohol served at these reserved facilities.

But according to the Henrico Citizen, a vote Tuesday could mean no more alcohol allowed.

According to the paper, roughly a quarter of the county's rental revenues, or roughly $300,000 comes from parties that include alcohol.
