Flies on the premises. That was the complaint by a state health inspector of a Chinese restaurant in Henrico. But records indicate the flies are gone now.
In this edition of the NBC12 Restaurant Report, we start at Hong Kong Kitchen at 2907 Williamsburg Road in Henrico. It had 5 critical violations. The report says there were flies on the premises and to call pest control for help. But the flies were gone and all violations were corrected in time for the re-inspection a week later. Hong Kong's permit was renewed.
Moving to Chesterfield, Hyatt Place at 13148 Kingston Avenue also had 5 critical violations. Here, the inspector noted that the dish washing machine was not reaching the proper temperature, which is essential to sanitizing dishes. That was corrected on the spot and Hyatt Place had everything fixed for a perfect score on the follow-up inspection.
