RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - More than 200 volunteers donated their time Friday to build a playground for United Methodist Family Services in Richmond.
It will be a place where the children UMFS works with can work through difficult times - in one man's words, "an awesome place of recovery"
"The kids who work here have many mental health issues, educational problems, they may have been abused and neglected," said Greg Peters with UMFS. "This is going to be a healing place."
This is one of 30 playgrounds CarMax and Kaboom plan to build across the country.
