RVA Street Art Festival wraps up today

Posted: Updated:

This weekend, national and local artists were turning walls into works of art.

The RVA Street Art Festival is just wrapping up.

For instance, an old GRTC bus depot on Cary Street, the old walls are used as a canvas for some amazing murals.

Local artists were actually painting during the festival.

"We kind of let the event or whatever we're painting live take control of the energy and we kind of feed off the energy from that, we love to paint on anything they give us, thanks for having us it's been a wonderful event," says artist, Scott Tuttle.

Today was the last day of the four day festival.

Those who came out also got to enjoy some of Richmond's popular food trucks.

Aside from murals, artists featured sculptures and other forms of mixed media art.
