COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA (WWBT) -

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers needs your help finding two suspects wanted in a pickpocketing-type case.

It happened at the Marshalls Department Store along Temple Avenue in Colonial Heights. Police say an elderly woman was the target.

"That's really sad,"said local shopper Sharon Fuller.

When we showed shoppers the surveillance pictures of the two women some people were shocked.

"They look like someone who would just walk up to you and ask you a question," said Sharon.

Surveillance cameras captured images of both suspects. They were black females. One was wearing an orange blouse and tan capri pants. The second was wearing a white blouse and black capri pants.

Police say the elderly woman was approached by a female who began talking to her about purses. While this conversation was going on, a second female reached into the victim's purse and removed her wallet.

The two suspects then allegedly charged thousands of dollars worth of merchandise to her credit cards. Police say two of the purchases occurred at the Macy's and Best Buy stores in Colonial Heights.

"It's really a shame," said Tami Jones. "It's something that they should be accountable for in their soul. However, do not carry a purse. You just don't need it."

Police say this happened back on August 22nd. If you have any information call Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
