Police release surveillance picture of serial robber in Stafford, Spotsylvania counties

STAFFORD, VA (WWBT) -

Authorities are searching for the suspect they say is responsible for three different robberies in Stafford and Spotsylvania counties and may also be connected to a robbery in North Carolina.

The suspect is wanted for robberies at the Sally's Beauty Supply in Washington Square and a Payless Store in Spotsylvania on July 11. Police say the suspect robbed the employees at gunpoint.

The suspect is also wanted in a robbery at a Sally's Beauty Supply in Spotsylvania on June 25.

Detectives from North Carolina have also been tracking a suspect in a robbery at a Game Stop in Raleigh, who matches the description of the suspect in Stafford and Spotsylvania.

    A couple is recovering in the hospital, after being seriously hurt in a house fire in Disputanta. Crews got the call around 1:45 a.m. Saturday. When they got to the home in the 13000 block of Arwood Road, the two residents were outside, after managing to escape the flames.
