Wood County Health District director fired, no reason given

WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Wood County Health District board members made a big decision Thursday. They voted to terminate the director of administration.

The board was very tight-lipped about their decision. They did announce that Bill Ault was fired, but they did not reveal why the decision was made.

At the end of the regular board meeting, they went into executive session to discuss the matter. Ault's termination is effective immediately.

The Bowling Green Sentinel-Tribune reported employees at the health department had filed complaints against Ault regarding how he acted in the workplace.

Board President Fleming Fallon says they considered many factors before making their decision, but would not comment on any possible complaints. He says they based their decision on what's best for the agency.
