RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A Henrico man is in police custody on 10 child pornography charges.

One of the charges against 32-year-old Jesse D. King is a felony count of possession of obscene material with minor.

He was indicted by a grand jury Monday after an operation into the distribution of child pornography by the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, a multi-team agency that operates in Metro Richmond.

The Attorney General's office is now handling the case.

"We can't comment on an ongoing prosecution other than to tell you that he was indicted on one count of distribution of child pornography (5-20 years), one count of possession of child pornography first offense (Class 6 felony 1-5 years), and eight counts of possession of child pornography second offense (Class 5 felony 1-10 years)," said Brian Gottstein with the Attorney General's office.

Neighbors say this hits too close to home.

"We don't want that in our neighborhood for sure," said neighbor Greg Duncan who has lived in the area near 1600 Foster Road for more than 40 years. "We do have a private school here...parents coming to pick their kids up. There are kids from 2-year-old up!"

Richmond Police say King surrendered and was taken into custody Monday.
