Therezie named Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week

Posted: Updated:

After recording two interceptions for Auburn in its 31-24 win over Washington State, junior safety Robenson Therezie (Miami, FL) has been named the Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week.

Therezie's first interception came in the opening quarter, which helped set up Auburn's first touchdown of the game. His second interception came in the end zone to stop a Washington State scoring drive late in the fourth quarter, which sealed the game for the Tigers.

With his two picks, Therezie became the first Auburn player with two interceptions in a game since linebacker Josh Bynes did so in 2010 versus Arkansas. He also added a career-high seven tackles.
