A section of Interstate 81, past Blacksburg is shut down, and it could be days before it reopens.
The area is too dangerous to drive because rocks and debris could fall on the lanes. A scheduled blast to help get rid of some of these potential falling rocks was unsuccessful.
VDOT says it could be up to 10 days before that stretch of I-81 re-opens, which could have an effect on people traveling for Labor Day weekend.
