A judge ruled the public and media will be allowed into the hearing for a man accused of abducting Nelson County teen Alexis Murphy.
Randy Taylor's hearing had been closed due to privacy concerns involving the ongoing investigation at the request of prosecutors. NBC12 and other media organizations argued in court before the hearing for the proceedings to remain public. The judge ruled the hearing will remain open until any sensitive materials are introduced.
Taylor has been in jail since his arrest on August 11th. Murphy has not been located.
NBC12 has a reporter in the courtroom and will have the latest on-air and online as it develops.
