Brad Paisley celebrates in Nashville for 22nd chart-topping hit

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Summer has been good for country music superstar Brad Paisley, who is enjoying yet another hit.

His style of country has taken him from the stages of home state West Virginia to the East Room of the White House.

On Tuesday, there was a big party at the CMA offices on Music Row to celebrate Paisley's latest No. 1 song, Beat This Summer.

It's his 22nd time at the top of the charts.

Paisley, of course, is an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitar player, but he's also a father of two boys.

And he said guiding the children is no easy job when dad is well-known.

"I don't want my kids to be raised as if their father is famous. And I've had one of them say, 'Well, but you're famous' already. And I basically said, 'You realize that's bad? That's actually a really bad thing for you as a kid? That it's not a good thing that your father is well known.' That's probably not a good thing, so we're gonna work around that," Paisley said.

He is now off to California this weekend for more of his Beat This Summer tour, while his potential 23rd No. 1 hit is due to hit the radio in the next few days.
