A Caroline woman is accused of stealing more than $7,000 from the high school's athletic and music booster funds.
Michelle Sullivan, 42, of Milford was the treasurer for the booster clubs at Caroline County High School. She was charged with embezzlement after an investigation found she wrote checks from the booster club to a personal account, sheriffs said. Investigators say checks were written for cash and personal expenses.
Deputies arrested her after an investigation revealed that there was only $14 left in the school's bank account, according to the Free-Lance Star.
Sullivan will be back in court later this month.
