Ariel Castro now a Grafton resident

GRAFTON, OH (WOIO) -

Ariel Castro has checked in to the Lorain Correctional Institution after being moved there August 2, 2013.

According to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Castro arrived in Grafton Friday evening. He is currently in isolation and will remain there, due to his high profile.

Castro was sentenced Thursday to life in prison plus 1,000 years after pleading guilty to 937 charges, including rape, kidnapping and assault.   

He held Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus captive and sexually abused them in his Seymour Avenue house for years before they were rescued on May 6.
