Spotsylvania plane crash

Good morning from Gray. Here's a look at some of the stories you will want to catch before you leave the house on 12 News Today.

Developing: A pilot threatens suicide in his plane, and crashes at a Spotsylvania airport. That information comes from airport sources, who are just beginning their investigation. We know the pilot is dead, and little is left of the plane.

Happening today, the man accused of beating a Goochland teacher is expected in court this morning. Uriah Harris is charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding. Police say he beat his ex-girlfriend in a school parking lot back in December.

The search continues for who shot Brendon Mackey. Police canvassed neighborhoods near the Swift Creek Reservoir. Their first couple of searches did lead to a few potential opportunities but after digging deeper they turned out to be dead ends. Police are hoping someone saw something that leads them to the person who fired the shot that killed the 7 year old on the Fourth of July.

Celebrations continue around the world this morning after Prince William and Princess Kate welcome their new baby boy. Now the world waits for a name.
