RGIII: Cleared to practice, 'See you in Richmond'

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III tweeted Monday he's been cleared by doctors to practice.

"Doctors cleared me to practice. Coach is going to ease me in. Thank you for your support & See you in Richmond." the star quarterback tweeted at 11:21 a.m. Monday.

Griffin set a goal to run the first team offense when the team opens camp Thursday, just six and a half months after re-constructive surgery on his right knee. He tore both his ACL and LCL, and was given an estimated recovery time of seven to nine months.
