Police ID victim of deadly crash in Hanover

MECHANICSVILLE, VA (WWBT) -

The Hanover Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a deadly car crash Sunday on River Road.

Police say Burnell C. Driggs, Jr., 60, of Mechanicsville was killed when he crashed his SUV, according to the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's deputies say he was heading west on River Road near Hanover Courthouse Road, when the car crossed into the on-coming lane. He then ran off the road and hit a tree.  

No word yet on the cause of the accident.
