ASU concludes Junior Ram Camp

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

This week the Albany State men's basketball team hosted its Jr. Rams Summer Camp.

Kids from 5th to 8th grade took part in drills and games coached by some of the team's players and staff. The camp culminated on Saturday with championship games.

For ASU men's head coach Chris Cameron, the experience was good for his players as well.

"Our guys are coaching, some of my players are coaching, one of my assistants is coaching," Cameron said. "Its good for them so they can see exactly what it is from the other side. Instead of being the player and doing what the coach says."

This is the sixth time the camp has been held.
