Voting rights reinstated for Va. non-violent felons

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Voting rights for non-violent felons are set to be reinstated Monday in the Commonwealth.

Governor Bob McDonnell initially said 100,000 felons are expected to be added to voter rolls.

Advocates are concerned only a handful will actually get to vote this November, after Governor McDonnell re-classified burglary and breaking and entering as non-violent crimes.
