Victim shot by BB gun during Henrico robbery

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Police are searching for three male suspects involved in a violent street robbery in Eastern Henrico.

The crime happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Millers Lane around 11 p.m. Saturday, according to investigators.

The victim told police all of the men had their faces covered with white shirts and one was armed with a BB gun. The suspect with the gun attempted to rob the victim and when the victim tried to resist, police said the suspect hit him in the face with the gun.

A fight then broke out and ended with the victim being shot once in the chest. The victim managed to get in his car and drive away. He's expected to be okay.

Police said the suspects were last seen running towards the pool of the nearest apartment complex.
