A Chesterfield family is staying with neighbors this morning after the ceiling of their apartment collapsed.
The family was living at the Courthouse Green Apartments, which is not too far from the intersection of Courthouse and Krause Roads.
Fire crews say it appears that the ceiling above the living room had gotten wet, and the weight of the moisture caused the collapse around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
A woman and her two teenage daughters were upstairs at the time and weren't hurt. The apartment managers were notified. They confirm that clean-up will begin Tuesday morning.
