Osteoporosis prevention

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - It is a  problem that may not crop up until later in life, but women should concern themselves with osteoporosis now.

Lauren Richardson believes diet is the first step.

Women should eat 4-6 servings a day of food that contains calcium, such as low fat cheese, milk and yogurt.

Regular exercise will help keep your bones strong.

Your health provider will screen you periodically for osteoporosis and its risk factors.
