Man caught upskirting girl at Chesterfield Towne Center

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

A Chesterfield mom is furious after police say a man secretly took pictures up her daughter's skirt inside Chesterfield Towne Center.

Kathleen Richio says her three children were shopping with their grandmother when her eldest daughter noticed a man following her 8-year-old sister, who was wearing a dress.

The 18-year-old moved her sister and 7-year-old brother away from the man before going back inside the store to buy earrings.

Richio says the suspect came up behind her teenaged daughter and pretended to tie his shoe, but was really upskirting her.

The store manager noticed this and shouted at the suspect, who then took off, according to police.

"Thank God for that manager," said Richio. "If he wasn't paying attention to who was in his store and what they were doing, we may never have known!"

Richio and her family don't know where the suspect and the video tape are now.

"Where is this video? Is it on the internet? Is he ogling it in his room? It's disgusting and it's disgraceful," said Richio.

Police released pictures of the suspect hoping someone would call Crime Solvers anonymously at (804) 748-0660 and help their case.
