A 7-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot in the head. It happened as he was heading out with his father to enjoy last night's fireworks. He was walking with his father across the Boathouse parking lot in Brandermill a little before 9 last night. When emergency crews arrived and examined him, they found a bullet wound at the top of his head. Police say it was from a person shooting a gun in the air. Right now, police are on the hunt for a child and a suspect in a possible abduction. Officers say a witness saw a boy walking down Hollybrooke Drive in Spotsylvania, when a blue full-sized work van with a white repair spot on the back pulled up near him. The witness said the boy was pulled into the van, kicking and screaming. Police are looking for a blue van that has a white or gray repair mark on the back, a tinted left rear door window and a missing right rear door window. If you know someone who is not registered to vote in Virginia, there's a daylong rally to sign them up. It is called "Strike up The Vote." It is a community response to the Supreme Court's decision last week striking down Section 4 of The Voting Rights Act. The rally will be held at the Broad Rock Sports Complex on Old Warwick Road in Richmond from 10 am until 7pm.
