A Henrico man accused of killing his 86-year-old mother-in-law will go on trial this October.
Lynchburg police say Scott Miles was arrested at a home in Prince George County for the death of Lynda Yeatts Slocum last year.
According to the Lynchburg News and Advance, Miles told police that he hadn't been to Lynchburg in a month. However, police say his cell phone records indicate he was in Lynchburg the night of the murder.
The trial will start October 28.
