Henrico Police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection to a double shooting over the weekend.
Around 9:00 Sunday night, police say a man in a pick up truck opened fire on two teenagers in front of a home in Eastern Henrico. The boys, aged 15 and 16, were both shot in their legs and suffered non-life threatening injuries. An adult female also received minor injuries from glass shards.
Joshua Steven Combs, 29, will be charged with Malicious Wounding, Malicious Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
According to police, Combs was driving a silver Toyota Pickup Truck. The vehicle was also recovered.
NBC12 went to Combs' home and spoke with his mother off-camera. She said she was surprised by the allegations. Combs' neighbor John Jones said he's also surprised.
"He was always helping the neighborhood," Jones said. "Always doing something to help."
Now, Jones says he's nervous knowing his neighbor may be dangerous.
"It's frightening when you say someone is armed and dangerous," said Jones. "You never know if someone is in their right mind."
