A community will come together to remember a teen killed in a deadly scooter accident earlier this week. A candlelight vigil will be held in memory of 16-year-old Marquise Horne at six tonight. Horne was killed early Sunday morning when his scooter crashed into an SUV.
If you're a texter, teen driver, or moped operator, listen up! Monday, you'll pay up, if you don't follow some new laws. The changes come just in time for the fourth of July when nearly a million Virginians will hit the roads.
School snacks are getting a boost in nutrition from The U.S. Department of Agriculture. Thursday, the USDA announced *new* nutrition standards for school vending machines and snacks offered in "a la carte" lunch lines. Cookies and brownies will be replaced with light popcorn, fruit, and whole-grain granola bars. Sugary sports drinks will be "phased out" -- and replaced with water and skim milk. The new rules go in effect a year from now
