Stafford grandmother accused of burning grandchildren to be in court

STAFFORD, VA (WWBT) -

The trial for a Stafford County grandmother accused of burning her grandchildren, is expected to wrap up Wednesday.

According to the Free-Lance Star, 51-year-old Valleshia Griffin reportedly confessed to burning her grandchildren back in December.

Prosecutors say Griffin was upset with her grandchildren, but rather than a timeout or a spanking, Griffin allegedly held their hands over the stove.

Police say the children suffered second and third degrees burns.
